Terms, Privacy & Cookies

1. Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of Casiobase (“we”, “us”). By using the site you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Casiobase is an independent reference and comparison resource. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to CASIO Computer Co., Ltd. “Casio”, “G-SHOCK”, “PRO TREK” and related names are trade marks of their respective owners and are used here only to identify products.

2. Accuracy of information

We publish specifications only when we can check them against a source, and we show each value’s verification status. Even so, manufacturers change products and documents, and mistakes can happen. Information is provided for general reference and is not a guarantee. Always confirm critical details (for example exam approval of a calculator or water resistance of a watch) with the manufacturer or retailer before you buy.

If you spot an error, please report it and we will review it.

3. Prices, stock and retailers

We do not sell products and we do not show prices or stock levels. Retailer links take you to third-party websites, which have their own terms and privacy policies. Any purchase is a contract between you and that retailer. Some links are affiliate links — see our affiliate disclosure.

4. Acceptable use and content

You may browse, share links to and quote small extracts from the site for personal, non-commercial use with a link back. Please do not scrape the site at scale, attempt to access admin areas, or interfere with its operation. Product photographs remain the property of their owners and are credited where shown.

5. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on information on the site or from your dealings with third-party retailers.

6. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

7. Privacy notice

We collect as little personal data as possible. You can browse every public page without an account and without telling us who you are.

8. What we collect and why

  • Contact and correction forms — your name, email address and message. We use these only to read and reply to your enquiry or review a correction. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to you and keeping our data accurate).
  • Server logs — our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.
  • Staff accounts — editors who sign in to manage data have an account with their email address. Members of the public do not need an account.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

9. Sharing, storage and retention

Form submissions are stored in our database and forwarded to the site operator by email through our hosting platform’s notification service. We keep enquiries only as long as needed to deal with them and then delete them. We do not share your data with retailers.

10. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Send your request through our contact form. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

11. Cookies and local storage

Casiobase does not use analytics or advertising cookies. We ask you to accept this notice when you first visit, and we use only what is strictly necessary:

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the public site will keep working.
